A photo helps us guide you, but it is not a diagnosis. Anything that needs assessing, we will ask you to come in.

  • It's visible or bothers you On the neck, arms, or back — you notice it, others notice it. Removal is straightforward.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered honestly.

How much does lipoma removal cost?

Our pricing starts at RM 350 for a standard small, single, superficial lipoma. This is all-in — consultation, ultrasound if needed, local anaesthesia, excision, suturing, and follow-up. Larger, deeper, or multiple lipomas are priced higher, and we quote the exact cost at your examination, before any procedure begins. No hidden fees.

Is it covered by insurance or corporate panel?

We are on panel with a number of Malaysian insurers and corporate medical providers. Coverage differs by policy and by branch, so bring your health card and our team will check your eligibility before the procedure starts. Removal is more often covered when the lipoma is symptomatic — painful, growing, or affecting movement. Removal for appearance alone is usually self-pay.

Do I need to book an appointment?

No — all our clinics are walk-in and open 24 hours. However, we recommend messaging the branch via WhatsApp first with a photo of the lump. This helps the doctor plan ahead and reduces your waiting time.

Is the procedure painful?

The area is fully numbed with local anaesthetic before removal, so most patients feel pressure rather than sharp pain. We use fine-gauge needles and inject slowly to reduce the sting. Mild soreness for 1–2 days afterwards is common and usually settles with simple painkillers such as paracetamol. Individual experience varies.

Will I have a scar?

Any excision leaves a scar. We keep it as small as possible with precise incisions aligned to natural skin tension lines and cosmetic suturing. Scars typically fade over 6–12 months, though how much depends on your skin type, the size of the lipoma, and how you care for the wound.

Can I drive myself home after?

Yes — because only local anaesthesia is used, you stay fully alert throughout. Most patients drive home and return to normal activities the same or next day. Heavy exercise and swimming should generally wait 7–10 days, and your doctor will confirm what suits your case.

Is the lump sent for lab testing?

When clinically indicated. The large majority of lipomas are benign, but where the doctor wants confirmation the tissue is sent for histopathology. Your doctor will tell you at the examination whether it applies in your case, and what it adds to the quote. Results are discussed at your follow-up.

Can the lipoma come back?

When the lipoma and its full capsule are completely excised, recurrence at the same site is uncommon. Some people are predisposed to developing new lipomas elsewhere on the body — that tendency is constitutional and is not caused by having one removed.
